Meet Lindsey Jones
Hi, I’m Lindsey, the co-owner of Jones Eyecare with my husband, Chris.
Between us we have over 35yrs of experience working in optometry.
I qualified as an optometrist in August 2003 and have since worked in many practices across the North East, gaining a great wealth of experience. I completed a Diploma in Independent Prescribing in December 2021, further enhancing the quality of the eye exam I can provide. This allows me to prescribe treatment for eye conditions without involving the GP or hospital.
I am one of the first people to complete a Masters level module in Myopia Management through Glasgow Caledonian University. This is for managing children who are short-sighted/myopic to reduce their risk of eye disease in the future.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with our 3 dogs and 2 cats as well as travelling the country judging highland dancing.
