Common Symptoms of Dry and Watery Eyes
The term ‘dry eyes’ is a litte deceptive as it covers a number of eye conditions. Dry eye can be due to both not enough tears being produced, the quality of tear produced or excessive evaporation of tears.The typical symptoms you may experience with dry or watery eyes include:
Burning, stinging or itching
Gritty feeling
Irritation from wind or smoke
Blurred or smeary vision
Tired eyes
Red eyes
Excessive watering
Light sensitivity
Contact lens discomfort
The symptoms are often worse first thing in the morning or later in the evening and can be exacerbated by driving, computer use or air conditioning.
